Kent Co. Sheriff Dept. - Traffic Squad - used condition - The Traffic Squad is an all volunteer unit serving the citizens of Kent County since 1917. All time, talents and services are donated while all training, uniforms and equipment are the financial responsibility of the individual officer. The Traffic Squad's Enforcement Unit regularly provides officers to assist the sheriff's office with a second officer in patrol cars as well as additional personnel for the Marine and Parks Division. The unit also provides support personnel to assist all law enforcement agencies in Kent County when additional trained personnel are needed. Kent Co. Sheriff Scientific Support Unit - new condition - The main task of the Crime Scene Unit (CSU) is to assist deputies with crime scene investigations: Photographing and sketching the crime scene, collecting latent fingerprints, hairs, fibers and body fluids, and photographing shoe and tire prints. Other forensics duties include creating composite sketches, crime scene diagrams, reviewing and enhancing video surveillance data, and installing silent alarms and video surveillance equipment. All members of the unit have a bachelor's degree and specialized training in crime scene work. Kent Co. Deputy Sheriff - bp - new condition Kent Co. Sheriffs Office - new condition - In 2019 the sheriff's office is joining in the fight against breast cancer with its new Pink Patch Program. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of preventive examinations and early detection. Deputies can wear them during the month of October. Kent Co. Seriffs Office - domestic violence awareness - velcro - new condition - In 2020 the sheriff's office is joining in the Purple Patch Program, awareness of domestic violence. In the US 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Keweenaw Co. Sheriff - used condition Keweenaw Co. Sheriff's Posse - new condition - The Lake Co. Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol and Civilian Posse is a volunteer-based unit. These Volunteers work in conjunction with the Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol Deputies. The basic purpose of the Civilian Mounted Posse is to assist the agency, when the use of horses is advantageous for functions such as: search and rescues, large events, and community functions.
